Another Snowy Weekend...

We have had sooo much snow this year

we decided to take advantage of it

and spend another weekend

up at Sundance.

 a thousand miles an hour
(bobbing and weaving through the trees)
going down our homemade luge.
Frightening...

It's awesome being so close to the resort.

We just fix the kids mac and cheese

and head down for  grown up time

(and the perfect burger)

at the Foundry Grill...

I Made it Monday...

My friend Corinne

picked up this awesome fabric for me 

while out notion hunting.

She thought I would love it

she knows me well...

 the sad thing was that

 the fabric store only had

fat quarters left...

What to do,

 what to do?

Make a corsage pin of course....

I looked high and low for fabric

that looked like a sheet of music...

it's nowhere!

 While I was at the craft store

I found this cool set of

rubber stamps

and decided to make my own

music sheet fabric...

I just stamped  right onto some cream muslin

worked like a dream...

I made it Mondays...

Red and pink are such great colors...

AND

they get even greater when they're together!

I made this little skirt for Sibley.

I usually add ric-rac, ribbon or some sort of embellishment 

when I sew... 

But

I just love this fabric so much

I decided to let it speak for itself...

It's probably saying

"yeah...I know I'm cute!"

Happy Valentines Day!

I Made it Mondays...

I made this little lapel pin

out of felt, embroidery floss and lace.

I wanted it to look like a sweet vintage Valentine.

I heart Valentines day...

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like (two months after) Christmas...

Pleeease...

let me explain....

It is a very big undertaking

 to get Christmas down...

and it's a little depressing

if you ask me.

While the house looks clean and organized after

 all the holiday cheer is boxed up...

it also looks 

SAD and BEYOND BARE!

Sooooo...

I took everything down around the house 

and was simply leaving

 the tree for last. 

It has an insane amount of stuff on it

and really takes a long time to disassemble. 

Well...

a few days passed...

then a few more...

then I thought "oh... it's in the corner out of the way, it'll be ok for a few more days"

then before I knew it...

It was February.

OK...

I'm seriously taking the tree down

(tomorrow)

Six I tell ya...SIX!

Yay for my little man...he's SIX! 

Not yay for the momma...he's SIX!

Under five still seems little to me

Like you could quite possibly 

still refer to them as a baby

A big baby...

but a baby nonetheless 

I'm afraid I can't stretch that "baby thing" any longer

He's a BIG BOY now... 

...and I don't like it :(
