What  is that old adage?

We always want 

what we don't have...

Well Sibley 

DOES NOT 

want curly hair.

It is too big...

It is too puffy...

Everyone wants to touch it...

And she hates it!

It does not make for a pleasing daily hair experience for her momma.

When it gets straightened...

she is giddy.

But I am sad...

Her curls are awesome!

I'm hoping that when she's older 

she'll appreciate 

how cool her hair really is...

this girl has "GOOD HAIR!"

The joy of running....

Christian, Sibley and Blythe

 ran track this year with the city rec.

They LOVED it...

and there was never a dull moment!

At one meet..

Christian literally ran out of his shoes.

One fell off...

so he kicked the other one off...

put it into first gear...

and won the race!

It was one of those America's funniest home video type of things!

After the season ended

we heard about a Hershey track meet

up in Salt Lake.

Smith had been extra twitchy 

to get on the track like his big brother and sistas...

so we headed up.

It was pretty awesome.

Little Miss Blythe's time, 

qualified her as

 the fastest in her age division in the entire state!

(brag brag brag brag)

Who knew we had such speedy kids...

GREAT to be EIGHT!

Our "teenie beenie" is EIGHT!

Skates were Blythe's #1 request.
 I searched high and low...
Apparently roller skates aren't hip anymore.
It's all about roller blades.
We had to settle for skates
that were obviously rollerblades in a previous life.
I was hoping to find her those
 totally tubular
sneaker skates that I rocked back in the eighties!
No such luck :(

Blythe 

desperately wanted 

this pig

from the hotel gift shop in Vegas.

Daddy shut her dreams down

and many a tear was shed.

He went back to the shop later and got it 

...on the down low...

to put away for her birthday.

The expression says 

IT ALL!

Ahhh....
